We Believe and Stand on the Unadulterated Word Of God, the Bible. We believe that Christ Jesus was born, died, and rose again. He sacrificed His life for the Salvation of the Entire World. We believe in Salvation full and free. We are a Kingdom Ministry. We are here to teach, minister, and love as the Kingdom of God ordained. 

Our Mission

It is our mission to Reach The Lost, Restore The Broken, and encourage All. We are a ministry without walls. We bless our local community and those in need whether near or far. We mean to live and love as Christ commanded.

Janet Leigh Rhynes

Affectionately known as Janet, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loved ones in her hometown of Charlotte, NC, on May 31, 2024, after a courageous battle with cancer. Born on August 5, 1954, Janet's life was one of passion, dedication, and a zest for the finer things in life, such as jazz, politics, and fashion.


Janet's formative years were spent in Charlotte, where she graduated from Independence High School in 1972. She was known for her intelligence and loving nature, which shone brightly throughout her life. Janet's career was marked by her role as a supervisor at Philip Morris, where her generous spirit and leadership skills made a significant impact on her colleagues and the company.


The heart of Janet's life was her family. She leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories with her son, Antonia Rhynes, and his wife Melvina; her life partner, Rufus Swinton; her grandsons, Michael A. Rhynes, Brandon Rhynes, Antonia Rhynes Jr.; and her step-granddaughter, Elizabeth Swinton. She was a beloved sister to Edna Hicks, JoWanda Holmes, Tonya Rhynes, Sevone Rhynes and his wife Gwendolyn, George Rhynes Jr. and his wife Ruthie, and Shawn Rhynes and his wife Jennifer. Her stepmother, Pamela Rhynes, and a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends also mourn the loss of Janet's generous spirit.


Raised in the Mt. Moriah Primitive Baptist church, Janet's faith journey led her to become an active part of the New Life Fellowship Center. Her faith was a cornerstone of her life, guiding her through the trials and tribulations with a steadfast heart.


Janet's interests were a reflection of her vibrant personality. A jazz enthusiast, she could often be found tapping her feet to the rhythms of Duke Ellington or Ella Fitzgerald. Her passion for politics kept her engaged in community and societal issues, always advocating for positive change. Janet's sense of style was impeccable, and she took great joy in expressing herself through fashion.


Those who knew Janet will remember her for her intelligent conversations, her loving embrace, and her generous acts of kindness. She had a way of making each person feel valued and heard, a trait that endeared her to many.


As we celebrate Janet's life, we are reminded of the words by Maya Angelou, "People will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel." Janet certainly left an indelible mark on the hearts of those she touched, and her memory will continue to inspire and uplift us.


Janet's passing is not just a loss to her family and friends but to all who had the pleasure of knowing this extraordinary woman. Her spirit, her love, and her laughter will be sorely missed, but never forgotten. As we bid farewell to Janet Leigh Rhynes, we take solace in knowing that her legacy will live on through the countless lives she has touched.


Her departure from this world is not an end but a transition to a place free from pain and suffering. We take comfort in the knowledge that Janet's story is one filled with joy, love, and the beauty of a life well-lived. Her journey on earth may have concluded, but her story will continue to resonate with all of us for years to come. Rest in peace, dear Janet, until we meet again.
